Could i be prengnant without test picking up hcg?

I missed my period for almost two months now!! I used a hpt only days after my period. My lmp was may 3rd and i tested june 3rd when i missed my period, and then again last week and it was still negative. could my body not be producing the hormone enough or at all? my abdomen is growing however. There are otherwise no direct obvious symptoms.
