Graphic Design degree a waste?

I have a degree in graphic design. I haven't worked in the field yet, or free lance. I don't really make art of any kind anymore. Everyday for 2 years I think today's the day I'm going to work on something, produce something, anything but I just think is it a waste of time? Is it practical? Is there work in art? I keep wondering if I should go back to college for something useful... on the other hand art is the only special talent I've ever had... I don't know what to do...
