Why do artists like Rihanna and Nicki Minaj try to provoke people with the Illuminati symbolism in their vids?

I hadn't seen any Illuminati symbolism with Minaj until her recent video - Super Bass (where she covers one eye that symbolizes the all-seeing eye of Horus). Rihanna - it's all over the place, it's even blatant in S&M!
